The rich creativity and imagination in any child is best stimulated with ‘open ended’ toys. Toys that have no set goal, target or result. No concrete problem to be solved, no points to be scored, simply to be enjoyed by doing, discovering, trying and playing. We call that: pressing the ‘play’ button. The Wobbel finds it’s origin in the Waldorf schools. With the Wobbel we present this classic balance board in a modern design and contemporary editions.  

At Schleich we believe that promoting creativity and rich imagination is one of the most valuable gifts you can give a child. A child’s creativity as well as their imagination develop almost by themselves with the right playing concepts.

Born out of our desire to revive the glamorous '60s American modernist vibe and carve it into awesome contemporary wood toy designs.

The design, with its pleasantly soft edges and the deliberate restraint in the coloring and design, captures the typical of the animal forms and movements. Ostheimer reduces the design of wooden animals and toys to the essentials, breathes life into the seemingly rigid wooden figures and arouses the children's own imagination.
